Flags that have been proposed by others to represent the Earth or a United World

	The Earth Flag, often called the Earth Day Flag, was designed by John McConnell in 1970. It is the photographic image of the earth taken during the flight of Apollo 10 in 1969, viewed from above the Indian Ocean just east of the Cape of Good Hope, on a background of dark blue.
	The Flag of Earth symbolizes the Earth (the center blue disk), the Sun (the yellow disk on the left), and the Moon (the white disk on the right). The Earth and its most important celestial neighbors - the Sun and Moon - are overlaid on a backdrop of the darkness of space.
	In 1940 German-born Georg Johann, later known as George John Dibbern created his own passport declaring himself a friend of all peoples and a citizen of the world, which he had notarized in San Francisco, US, on May 31 of that year. On that passport also appears the flag that Dibbern designed representing his ideals, which he raised for the first time, on his sailboat the ketch Te Rapunga, on his arrival in Victoria BC, Canada on 1 July 1937

	The Waking Planet World Flag represents the beauty that is possible when people of different colors, tongues and beliefs come together in mutual respect, trust and support.
	The Companion Flag is a symbol of all that human beings have in common, our differences notwithstanding: the love of children, the desire for health and knowledge, concern for the safety and happiness of loved ones, etc. It is called 'the Companion Flag' because it is flown below the other flags of the world, on the same pole, taking the main color of the other flag.
	This flag symbolizes planet Earth and history of mankind, such as known by the end of the XXth century, beginning of XXIth.
	This flag was created as a Symbol of our Interconnection and Oneness with All. Its purpose is to awaken consciousness... by helping us remember the Truth of who we are. This symbol embraces All and can therefore never represent any one particular group, race, religion, creed, or anything that creates the illusion of separateness.
	The purpose of this Flag, is to go Beyond, Color, Prejudice, Inhumanity and Injustice to All Human Beings. We are All Human Beings. We are All connected.
	The World Flag, which George Boeree designed in 1999. It consists of a circle containing a realistic outline of the eastern hemisphere, in green and light blue, surrounded by a gold ring with 60 equal-size short rays extending outwards, all on a dark blue background. The western hemishere is on the opposite side. The flag combines the images of our planet and the rising sun of the new millennium.
